JAMMU, Apr 08: Department of Physical Education, University of Jammu clinched the volleyball title in inter-department tournament of JU outplaying Law School in the final on the campus here today.
It was a straight set win for Physical Education. Roshan, Rajesh, Shafqat and Irshad played fine game for the winners while Sourav defended well from Law School.
Earlier, in the semi-finals, played today, Law School defeated MCA Department in straight 25-22, 25-14 sets. Later, Physical Education registered 2-1 (25-17, 22-25, 15-03) win over Department of Urdu in another semifinal.
Today’s matches were officiated by Wasim Malik, Ashok Kumar, Arti Sharma, Sonu Kumari, Sahira Bano and Jigmet Lhanzes.
