| CGEWCC Cricket: PCDA beat NSSO by 9 wkts | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Apr 08: Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (PCDA) today made it a big nine-wicket win over National Sample Survey Organisation (NSSO) in the ongoing Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee (CGEWCC) at MA Stadium, here.
Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, NSSO bowled out for 122 runs. Nitesh remained top scorer with brilliant unbeaten knock of 75 runs, followed by Sahil, who contributed 14 runs to the total. From PCDA, Ashok Dutta was most successful bowler with three for 22. Pardeep Bali, Maneesh and Rakesh Koul shared two wickets each.
Later, chasing the target, PCDA overhauled the opponent total without much difficulty. First class cricketer, Pardeep Bali batted well contributing 77 runs thus guided his team to a splendid victory. From NSSO, Nitesh took the only wicket lost by PCDA.
Now, in the first semi-final of the tournament, Account General (AG) XI shall take on Survey of India (SOI) tomorrow at 9 am.
