Sermons and loud talking can not corruption: Prof Chaman | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 8: Mere sermons and loud talking would not eradicate the menace of corruption but there is a greater need to have a change in basic policies and honest structural changes at the political level as the wrought begins from top and it tracks down wards. Commenting upon the statement of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah siding with the cry for curbing corruption at high places the leader of the BJP Legislature party Prof Chaman Lal Gupta observed that first the ruling leaders should come out with and explanation that what has led the J&K has come to be at the top of the list of the most corrupt states especially when there was rule of the Congress and National Conference during al these years in one form or the other. Prof Chaman Lal Gupta questioned, “Whether to create extra- constructional posts to accommodate the politicians rejected by the electorates do not fall in the category of corruption? “What is the justification for not having the chairman of the Accountability Commission,” the BJP leader added and maintained that dishonest means to enjoy the power cannot yield any good results. For having good governance, Prof Gupta said there is a need for over all change in the outlook and policies as corrupt means to have or retain power cannot deliver the good but only the awakening of the masses is the path to change and cover throw the corrupt. “Earlier the awakening of the masses would have the early end of this dishonest setup. Wrong cannot be rectified with wrong hands he asserted for developing a strong movement against the policies and elements who have led the situation to such a sad state of affairs,” Prof Gupta maintained
