| Interstate vehicle lifters gang busted,stolen vehicles recovered | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Apr 8: Police Friday unearthed an interstate gang of vehicle lifters with the arrest of two thieves and recovery of two stolen vehicles from them in Bari Brahmana, informed sources said.
They said that a police team led by SHO Bari Brahmana Inspector Akram under the concerned SDPO conducted a raid in the hideout of vehicle lifters and nabbed two persons, on specific inputs.
They have been identified as Varinder Singh son of Paramjeet Singh, Sukjinder Singh son of Sandeep Singh both the residents of Guru Nank Nagar Batala in Punjab.
Sources said that the police put them to sustained interrogation during which, both of them confessed to have lifted vehicles.
On their discloser, sources said, two vehicles i.e. a Maruti Zen and a Scooter was recovered.
A senior police officer said more arrests and recovery is likely in the case.
