Blind murder case worked out; accused held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATRA, Apr 08: Working out the blind murder case of a woman, who was killed inside a guest house here on March 14 last, police have arrested the accused, including victim's husband and the latter's lover. Police sources said Arvind Soni of Mangalpur, Uttar Pradesh, wanted to get rid of his wife Shobha Devi as he loved another woman.He wanted to marry his lover, whom sources identified as Shobha alias Shallu. Arvind and Shallu then conspired to kill Shobha. As per the plan, Shallu approached Shobha and sought her company to have the darshans of Mata Vaishnodevi. Shobha agreed and the duo arrived here on March 14 night. They checked in Plasar Guest House where Shallu allegedly murdered Shobha by slitting her throat with a knife.After Shobha was killed, Shallu left the hotel and fled Katra the same night, the sources added. After working on different aspects of the case, police solved the murder mystery and arrested Arvind and Shallu from Mangalpur.Sources said the knife, with which Shobha was killed, had allegedly been given to Shallu by Arvind.A murder case was registered against the accused.
