SISI organizes Industrial Awareness, Motivation Program

Small Industries Service Institute (SISI) Ministry of Small Scale Industries, Government of India in association with ITI Sunderbani organized a one-day Industrial Awareness-cum-Motivation Program at ITI Sunderbani today. The main objective of the workshop was to develop entrepreneurship skills among the educated unemployed youths of Rajouri district.
Over 150 participants including 45 women entrepreneurs and senior citizens of the area attended the awareness program.
Block Development Officer C R Khajuria in his inaugural address advised the youth to take up small and micro industry as their ventures as there are limited jobs in Government and asked the participants to take advantage of this awareness program.
Officers from several departments apprised the participants about policies and activities of their departments, which can help the youth in starting their ventures.
Deputy Director Employment Rajouri, Asadulah Shah, Deputy Director SISI Jammu I K Khushu while addressing the participants urged for taking up self- employment ventures in a big way. Khushu informed the participants about some viable projects which can easily be taken up by the unemployed youth to get self- employment. He also discussed projects on electrical, electronics, mechanical, agro based, chemical, computers, IT and other projects, which have a good scope in this region. He told the participants to come forward and take maximum benefits out of this program in view of growing unemployment and less chances of getting employed in Government Departments and advised them to identify any activity and seek help and guidance of the SISI in setting up tiny industry having potential in the area.
Vinay Bushan Manager Extension DIC, KK Bhat Branch Manager J&K Bank, Mandeep Dogra Superintendent ITI, Sunderbani also called upon the unemployed youth to take up self- employment schemes for which Banks are providing loans to the entrepreneurs.
