JMC Clears 40 building permission cases | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Apr 9: In the meeting of Jammu Municipal Corporation, the building permission cases were examined and 40 of building permission cases were cleared. The building permissions cases cleared today shall generate revenue of Rs. 6.00 (Rupees Six Lacs) for Jammu Municipal Corporation. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of S.C Sawhney Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Jammu. The other members of Building Operation Controlling Authority besides Joint Commissioner (Adm), Joint Commissioner (Works) and Senior Town Planner of Jammu Municipal Corporation attended the meeting. Besides this, the Enforcement Wing of Jammu Municipal Corporation led by Satish Khajuria Chief Enforcement Officer sealed the building of Pardeep Jain S/o Chaman Lal Jain at Shastri Nagar & of Sandeep Kohli at Gandhi Nagar, Jammu under the provisions of J&K Control of Building Operation Act 1988. The said person raised the construction unauthorizedly & converted the building from residential to commercial thereby violating the provisions of Master Plan. The said operation was carried out with the active co-operation and assistance of police force. The team also removed banners / hoardings / kiosks which were erected by firms / business establishments etc. upon electric poles / public places without permission and seized two no’s of truck loads of such material and impounded the same in the Municipal Yard at Town Hall, Jammu. The team also removed Rehries from Bikram Chowk area which were found stationary upon the footpaths. Further, the Municipal Veterinary Officer alongwith field staff continued drive especially during Navratras Festival against the adulteration of milk in the areas of Panjthirthi, Pacca Danga, Jewel Area, Canal Road, Talab Tillo, Amphalla etc. During the drive 135 Milk cans were checked, out of which 3 milk cans which were of sub-standard quality / not fit for human consumption were destroyed on spot. The team also destroyed stale Chena Murgi in the Pacca Danga area. The team had also lifted 11 stray animals from the areas of Ambphalla, New Plot, Janipur, Muthi, Talab Tillo, Jewel Area, Gumat, Bahu-Fort, Narwal , Railway Road, Channi, Kunjawani, Gangyal, Nai Basti, Gandhi Nagar, Nanak Nagar etc., and impounded the stray animals in Municipal Cattle Pound. A total fine of Rs. 6710 was charged from the erring milk vendors & owners of stray animals
