JCCBOA hail management’s decision to promote officers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Apr 9: The Jammu Central Cooperative Bank Officers Association in its meeting held today hailed the decision of the management of the Bank in according promotions in the officers' cadre. The general secretary of the Association stated that they had time and again taken up the issue of promotions in the officers' cadre with the management of the bank in view of large scale retirement in the bank particularly at senior level and in order to cope up in the competent field it was necessary to fill the vacuum. The Association was very much particular in according promotions purely on seniority basis, which demand of the Association was duly considered by the management of the bank and the promotions were accorded thereby giving preference to seniority only. The Association further hailed the steps being taken by the management particularly towards expansion of bank's branches and at present bank has succeeded in increasing the branches network of the bank to 70 apart from 25 extension counters. The Association even lauded the role of present chairman, Mohinder Singh, who took over the reins of the bank on 4th November, 2008 and the working of the bank has considerably improved during the last three years. The Association further asked the Chairman to take necessary steps for computerization of bank's branches, to which the chairman assured that they have already taken up the matter with the Minister for Cooperatives, who has principally agreed to provide financial assistance to the bank for computerization of its branches network. The Association further appealed to the employees particularly the officer cadre to work hard and strengthen the hands of the present dispensation.
