| Afghan, Chinese grenades recovered from a hideout | | HM militant gunned down at Sumber | | JAMMU NOV-15- One militant was eliminated during an encounter at Sumber in Ramban and some ammunition including one INSAS rifle recovered from the possession of the slain ultra. Security Forces recovered cache from a hideout, which included some Afghan and Chinese hand grenades. According to the reports that during the intervening night of Nov 14-15, a joint search was launched by Police, BSF, 58 RR in general area of Sumber in Ramban. During operations militants fired upon the searching party, which was replied effectively leading to an encounter. During the firing, one militant identified as Basharat Peer @ Saif-Ullah son of Asadullah Peer resident of Bajoni Samber of HM outfit was eliminated. One INSAS rifle, two magazines, 74 rounds, one Chinese grenade, one radio set and Rs.4000 in Indian currency were recovered from the possession of slain militant. In the meanwhile during an search operation the forces recovered a bag in general area of Nargap containing nine Gellatin sticks, five IED timbers, 4 mtr Cordex, 12 Afghan hand grenades, 11 Chinese hand grenades and 11 UBGL grenades.
