| MLA gheroed, heckled at Samba | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU : MLA Yashpal Kundal was tonight gheroed and heckled continuously by some people at Mala Pangwal in Sumb area of Samba for allegedly asking villagers to vote his candidates to victory in the upcoming panchayat polls in the state.
Kundal's vehicle was stopped by Gopal Singh Charak, a candidate for panchayat polls, and his supporters at Mala Pangwal amidst the raising of slogans against him.
Charak alleged that he had come to the village late at night only to address public meetings in support of some candidates.
The MLA continued replying to the queries of the angry people for about half an hour and was later allowed to move.
When contacted, he said he had gone to the village to see his ailing relative and not to address public meetings.
