200 Anganwari Workers trained | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, APRIL 10 – The month long training for 6th batch of Anganwari Workers of Ramnagar being conducted in Anganwari Workers Job Training Institute, Khoon, Majalta, in Udhampur district by Destitute and Handicapped Welfare Association (DAHWA) concluded here today. Chairperson of the Association, Mr. S. S. Sumbria, distributed certificates among the trainees. During the programme, the candidates were imparted training in health and hygiene, mother and child care, neo-natal health and different educational crafts for children. They were also provided informative literature on related subjects. The trainees expressed satisfaction over the institute and hostel facilities extended to them during the training. Mr. Sumbria hoped that the training will further enhance the efficiency of the Anganwari Workers thus adding to their services in their respective institutes. The institute has, so far, trained about 200 Anganwari workers in 6 batches besides conducting refresher courses for various batches of Anganwari Workers from different areas of the district. Later, the trainees presented colourful cultural programme.
