| 30, Thousands pay obeisance at Chountra Devi | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Udhampur April 10 :-
Near about 30000 devotees participated in annual Charri Yatra of Chountra Mata in Ramnager which arrived at Shrine today afternoon under tight security cover from Ramnger .
The yatra after stoppage at many point, as heavy rush of pilgrims engulfed the atmosphere with the slogans and Bajans sung by the devotees praising the blessing of Matta . The yatra organized under the banner of Mata Chountra Prabandhak committee started from Narsingh temple .Beside other local MLA Harsh Dev Singh, President committee Khem Raj Sharma participated .
As many as 30000 people from different parts of the state pay obeisance at Shrine of Mata to seek blessing of Matta Chountra . The akhand jyoti was lit on the first Navratra at Narsinghji temple in Ramnagar which was carried to Chountra Mata darbar on Sunday in a procession of devotees. Various social and voluntary organizations which include Chuni Lal Khalsa Memorial trust hold free langars at the holy dabar during the Navratras.
Meanwhile administration has made elaborate security and other arrangements which include safe drinking water and uninterrupted power supply first aid, transport and sanitation en route to the shrine as well as at the temple.
