Weeklong Sam-Veda Parayan Yagya concluded here at Arya Samaj Mandir Rehari Colony to commemorate the foundation day of Arya Samaj.
Devotees offered Puran-Aahuti to the god of fire amidst the chanting of Vedic hymns.
Dr Varinder Ratnam was the key speaker on this occasion and he threw light on the motive behind laying the foundation of Arya Samaj by Swami Dayanand Saraswati Ji.
He also lauded the services of this organization and stressed upon the gathering to inculcate the teachings of Vedas in order to attain salvation in their lives.
Devotional songs by Kuldeep Vidyarthi added colours to this weeklong programme.
Acharya Vidhya Bhanu Shastri was the Brahma of this Yagya and he was assisted by Chain Lal Shastri.
Children also presented many cultural items today depicting life and teachings of Swami Dayanand Saraswati.
The programme had started on last Saturday with a Prabhat Pheri where the devotees marched through the streets singing devotional songs.
There was also a flag hoisting ceremony where flag of Arya Samaj was unfurled.
Many religious books were also stalled where devotees purchased at very concessional rates.
Today the programme concluded with the votew of thanks by Satvir Gupta, President of Arya SDamaj Rehari and all the devotees were served Rishi Langar. |
