| NC, PDP threat to India: Khaujria` | | They do politics on graves of poor’ | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Apr 10 (KNS): The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and National Conference (NC) are more dangerous to India than trhe Hurriyat Conference. This was stated by Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) president, Ashok Khajuria in an interview with KNS.
Khajuria said, “Separatists are not a problem for India but NC and PDP is as they are conditional parties. They (NC, PDP) blackmail New Delhi for their own interests and run their politics on graves of people.”
“They remember Kashmir, human rights, autonomy and self-rule when they lose power. They are doing business on miseries of people,” Khaujria alleged.
The BJP president termed NC and PDP more dangerous for India than separatists. “NC and PDP are more threat to India than (Syed Ali Shah) Geelani. We can tackle with separatists easily, but these so-called mainstream parties are a problem for national integration.”
Asked why BJP was opposing revocation of PSA from the state when even Amnesty International has recommended so in its recent report on Kashmir, Khajuria grew angry. “Who are they (AI) to give lessons to India on human rights? Let AI go to NWFP and Karachi and see the condition of Hindus there. India needs lessons from no one on human rights,” he said.
Khajuria said that BJP would oppose revocation of PSA tooth and nail in the Assembly.
He alleged that stone pelters were a creation of NC and PDP. “There are only 300 to 400 stone pelters in the Valley who are creating disturbance and they are creation of these two parties.”
On dialogue with Pakistan he said, “It is true Vajpayee jee was talking to Pakistan on Kashmir. But he (Vajpayee) was talking in the context of 1994 Parliament resolution on Kashmir under which PoK has to be liberated from Pakistani occupation. It is firm stand of BJP that PoK is part of India.”On troops’ reduction in the state, Khaujria said, “Who are political parties to decide it? It is army which will decide about it.”
Contrary to his rhetoric stand about discrimination with Jammu, Khajuria said, “Selected families are getting all benefits while it is poor man of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh who is being discriminated. People in all three regions have remained under developed while politicians have made fortunes.”
On present government’s performance, he said, “Though the Chief Minister is an honest person, his cabinet is full of corrupt people. The CM is Ali Baba (of Arabian Aights) and he is surrounded by 40 choors.” (KNS)
