Desist from taking crucial decisions individually: Tarigami to ministers‘ | No significance of Dogra Certificate in army recruitment’ | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Apr 10 (KNS): CPI (M) State Secretary and MLA Kulgam, M Y Tarigami, Sunday called upon the government to take sensitivities into consideration while formulating policies, rules and orders with political bearings. This, he said is important to keep divisive and extremist forces at bay. He said ministers should strictly follow business rules and desist from taking crucial decisions individually. In a statement, he said, that the government order regarding issuance of Dogra Certificate should have been first discussed in the cabinet. “It is imperative for the government to anticipate political and social implications of such orders”, he said, adding thorough discussion over the issues minimizes chances for politicking over them. Issuing Dogra Certificate has no apparent significance when army has reportedly denied that their recruitment rules allow relaxation on production of these testimonials in height and girth of chest, he said and urged the government to exercise caution while deciding over such issues.
