Thousands throng Bawe temple on 8th Navratra | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 11: As the festival of Navratra is on its last days, devotees from different part of city came to pay obeisance in different temples for peace and prosperity in their life.On the 8 day of Navratra about thousands of people come to Bahu Fort Temple “Bawa Wali Mata” to pay homage for their goodself. Keeping in view the heavy rush of pilgrims, the administration has made adequate arrangements at Bawa Wali Mata and number of stall and medical facilities were made available in case of emergency. Special prayers were also organized on the day at various temples from across the city to pray the mother goddess. In which people were participated with great prosperity and enthusiasm. Bahu Fort “Bawe Wali Mata” is one of the oldest temple of Jammu. The temple of Bawe Wali Mata was constructed in 1822, just after Maharaja Gulab Singh was coronated. The deity of this temple is regarded second only to Goddess Vaishno Devi. The temples were decorated with glittering lights and flowers by the management of the board. Sankh “Mata” was also emerged in flowing water with full of excitement. Various social organizations have setup Bhandara in Bawe Wali Mata temple. Shakun Gupta a devotee from Rajpura said “Every year I visit Bawe Wali Mata with my family to pay obeisance for blessing and offered prayers. But sometimes we have to wait for many hours in queue to have darshan of the goddess”. Many of the devotees had come from different rural area of Jammu. Similarly huge rush of follower was also witnessed in other temples across the city. It is expected that on the last day of the Navratra there will thousand of more people who will come for the special prayer.
