| VC, Director Colleges Visit GDC Udhampur | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, April 11: The special Golden Jubilee Issue and the Institutional Calendar were released by Prof. (Dr.) R. N. K. Bamezai, Vice Chancellor SMVDU, and an alumnus of GDC Udhampur and Prof. (Dr.) Sham Lal Gupta, Director Colleges , Dept. of Higher Education during their visit to the college.
his address Professor Bamezai congratulated the college for keeping up innovative practices and stream lining the documentation of the college. He stressed upon the need to blend the traditional and the modern for better performance and develop a model of approach based on Gandhian and Nehruvian models so that the local and the global, both are blended to face the challenges ahead.
Director Colleges, Prof. (Dr.) Sham Lal Gupta in his speech lauded the endeavors of the college for infrastructure enhancement and said that colleges play important role in producing the adequate human resource which is a must for the sustenance of any economy. He stressed upon the commitment and dedication of the staff for innovations in higher education like introducing more skill development courses along with revamping the already sanctioned ‘Add on Courses’.
Prof. Sudhir Singh, Convener IQAC conducted the proceedings and proposed a vote of thanks. All the staff members , teaching & non-teaching, and PG students of the college were present on this occasion.
