PDSF protest against derecognizing of study centers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Apr 11: Students from many study centers joined the protest and raised anti-government slogan. Riaz Atish State Incharge PDSF while addressing the protest said, “govt. has no sound bases to derecognize distance education students learning from different study centers of different UGC recognized and DEC recognized universities. Therefore these students are recognized”. He said Govt. collects revenue from these study centres, even Ministers have inaugurated these study centres and added there is a clearcut nexus between Private sector and state government and in the nutshell poor students are looted in the name of technical education”. He added, “Moreover Jammu University and Kashmir University both disqualify students for higher education in these universities”. However Riaz Atish demanded a joint committee, which should be constituted by the govt. with 50% representatives form govt. and 50% representatives from the distance education students to look into the matter, also demanded a clear cut policy about these affected students as govt. has announced in 2009, the approval upto 2010, govt. should fill the vacancies in the school & offices where computerization has done and Jammu University and Kashmir University should be directed to provide admission for PG courses in their universities. Other who were attended the protest are Daljeet Singh, Pervinder Singh, Mustaiq Gohar Ali and so on…..
