| Blood Donation camp by Army on Corps Day | | |
Udhampur, Nov 16
In keeping with the motto “SARVATRA” of Corps of Engineers, as a prelude to the celebration of 226th Corps Day the Engineer fraternity under the leadership of Chief Engineer Northern Command organised a Blood Donation Camp at the HQs of Chief Engineer Udhampur Zone today. The camp was inaugurated by Maj Gen NB Patel, Chief Engineer Northern Command. A large number of MES employees and other persons both in uniform and civil stream volunteered to be part of the camp, contributing towards donation of 30 units of blood. The blood was collected to cater for the need of Command Hospital Northern Command to be used for Indian Soldiers fighting the war against terrorism in Northern Command. The volunteers far out numbered the capacity of the Command Hospital.
