HC directs Udhampur SSP to search brick kiln | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 11: High court judge, Justice JP Singh today directed SSP, Udhampur, to search premises of Shivalik brick kiln at Berol for 54 persons, who were alleged to be in the illegal custody of its owner. The court directive came in a habeas corpus petition filed by Ranjit Masih and others in which they alleged that 54 persons were in the illegal custody of Ravi Kumar Shah, owner of Shivalik brick industries, Berollah. Justice Singh issued notice to the respondents and directed SSP, Udhampur, to search the premises of the brick industries at Berol, Udhampur, and set to liberty forthwith the persons, whose name appear in the petition, if they were found in illegal custody.The petitioner submitted that his five children, mother, father and brothers were in the illegal custody of the brick kiln owner and also mentioned the names of 54 other persons who were alleged to be in the illegal custody. |
