| Patient allegedly beaten by staff at Batra hospital | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU,Apr 11 : A jaundice patient was allegedly beaten up by a lab assistant and other staffers inside Batra hospital at Sidhra near here today.He was identified as Zafar Iqbal, an advocate by profession.
Originally a resident of Poonch, he was at present putting up Raipur near Bantalab.
He had gone to the Batra hospital laboratory to collect his blood report when the incident occured over alleged extra payment demanded by a lab assiatant and other staffers.
Iqbal said he was saved on the intervention of police. He said he had lodged a written complaint against the hospital staff with the concerned police station.
