| 2 cops among 3 held for selling petrol in black | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 11: In unconnected incidents, three persons, including a transporter and cops of CRPF and police, were today arrested by police at Ware House here for selling petrol/diesel in black. Police sources said acting on a tip-off, cops led by Nehru Market police post incharge, SI Bilal Mohammed Azhar conducted a raid at Ware House area and arrested CRPF bus driver Prem Pal while selling petrol to transporter Mastan Singh at cheaper rate.
40 lt petrol was seized from the spot, the sources added, saying Prem was at presented in CRPF 116 Bn at Pehalgam. Both Prem and Mastan were arrested and booked under law.
In another police raid at Ware House, cop Suresh Kumar was arrested while selling 40 lt petrol from a district police minibus. He was at present posted with district police line here. A case was registered against him too. |
