JAMMU, April 12: Shweta Sambyal and Farhan Mirza emerged fastest runners winning 100 meters gold in women and men categories respectively in athletics events of the ongoing sports meet for advocates, organised by Bar Association of Jammu at University of Jammu (JU) grounds, here today.
Second place in men’s prestigious 100 meters event went to Pardeep Majotra while Aftab Malik remained third.
Similarly, in women’s section, Shweta bagged gold while Anjeet and Gurpreet remained second and third respectively.
Meanwhile, the semi-finals of the advocates’ cricket tournament shall be played on April 14, followed by the final and valedictory function at University of Jammu grounds.
“In the first semi-final, Paradise Cricket Club shall take on Regal Warriors at 8 am, while while Legal Warriors XI shall lock horns against Legal Stars XI. The semifinals will be of 12 overs aside games,” informed managing secretary of the sports meet and sports secretary of Bar Association of Jammu, Suresh Sharma talking to SAN.
