| PDP calls Legislative party meet Issues whip for LC polls | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Apr 12: Chief Whip of Peoples Democratic Party, Abdul gaffer Sofi, Saturday issued whip asking the members of his party to cast their votes in favour of PDP candidates in Legislative Council polls scheduled to be held tomorrow.
The PDP Tuesday evening called Legislative Party meeting at party patron, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s Jammu residence to finalize the strategy for the polls, sources told KNS.
However, they said, former Deputy Chief Minister, Muzzafar Hussain Beg and Deputy Speaker, Sartaj Madni, were not present in the meeting.
The PDP President Mehbooba Mufti told KNS that Beg and Madni couldn’t attend the meeting due to some health problems.
