| Azad directs early construction of migrant tenements | | | Jammu, Nov 16 Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad reviewed progress on double-laning of Thathri-Kilhotran road and construction of two-room sets for migrants at a high level meeting here today. Details about the Rs. 38 crore central project for construction of Thathri-Kilhotran road were discussed in the meeting threadbare. Chief Minster said that all procedural formalities should be completed speedily so that work on double-laning of the road is completed expeditiously. Minister for R&B Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak, Chief Secretary Mr. C. Phunsog, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Anil Goswami, Commissioner/Secretary R&B Mr. Atal Dulloo, Commissioner/Secretary Law Mr. Akhtar Kochak, Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Shalindra Kumar, Chief Engineer R&B Jammu and other senior officers attended the meeting. Mr. Azad also took stock of the pace of progress on construction of over 5200 two-room sets for the migrants at Jammu. Reviewing the progress profile of construction work, Chief Minster issued instructions to the concerned authorities to put the entire project for construction of two-room sets on fast-track so that these are completed in one go under double-shift system of work. Secretary Revenue Mr. Masood Samoon and Relief Commissioner Kr. Mohinder Singh were also present. |
