Social workers anti-corruption call for corruption free J&K | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Apr 13: A general public meeting was held today at Jammu under the chairmanship of Om Parkash Sharma social worker Anti Corruption who addressed the meeting while stressing that the J&K Government should come forward in implementation of Lok Pal Bill as J&K state stands at number 2 in the corruption table in the country and people want the state to be counted as corruption free state and this point is being welcomed by the general public by raising patriotic slogans. Om Prakash Sharma himself stated in the meeting that he was too much influenced by the efforts of the Government as the statements of Chief Minister from time to time giving stress on the issues like need to take urgent steps to tackle corruption with an active cooperation of the general public while Govt. has taken a series of measures for curbing the menace of corruption in the state. He informed that the Govt. has declared 2011 as the year against corruption, therefore people have to actively work against the corruption at grass root level. R.C.Dubey, advocate, S.S.Chib advocate, Bharat Bhushan social worker, S.Hardev Singh social worker, Harbans Choudhary, Tirath Saini, Susheel Dutt, Yashpal Billoria, Dalip Khajuria, Mahesh Chander, Gopal Dass Choudhary, Mohan Lal, Ravi Kant Gupta, Darshan Kumar Gupta and others were present in this meeting.
