| TA jawan held in rape case | | |

JAMMU, Apr 13: A jawan of 159 TA Bn was today apprehended by police at Marmat in Doda in an alleged rape case. He was identified as Ashish Kumar of Goha, Marmat. Police sources said Ashish was going to Bari, Marmat, when he came across a girl who was collecting firewood in the village forests.
Finding her alone, he allegedly outraged her modesty, the sources added.
He was later arrested by police on the girl's complaint in this regard. The girl was also got medically examined in the hospital, the sources added.The TA jawan was booked under a rape case.
