SVO books JKPCC assistant manager | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 13: The state vigilance organisation (SVO) has registered a case against a JKPCC assistant manager for securing a job in the department over two decades ago on the basis of forged documents.The case was registered against Mohammad Shafi Shah, JKPCC assistant manager, Kulgam, under section 5(1) (d) punishable under section 5(2) of J&K P C Act read with sections 420, 467, 468 and 471 of RPC.Originally a resident of Changu Dooru, Anantnag, he was at present putting up at Janglat Mandi, Anantnag. The accused was alleged to have forged his academic as well as technical certificates and obtained a job in JKPCC on their basis in 1987. He got promoted as assistant manager in June, 2000. It was established during inquiry that Shah had forged his matriculation diploma, which was shown to have been issued by the state board of school education under serial No 3947 and Roll No 33110 in April, 1984. The certificate showed his date of birth as December 8, 1964. It was revealed in the inquiry that this certificate was actually fake. He was also alleged to have forged his BSc degree, shown to have issued by Kashmir university vice-chancellor under registration No 2110-ANG-90 and bearing Roll No 3310. He had also forged a diploma of civil engineering, shown to have been issued by vice-chancellor, Himachal Pradesh Board, Dharamshalla. It bore fake serial NO 000947 and Roll No 23101.He also forged an AMIE degree in civil engineering shown to have been issued by Institute of Engineering (India), 8-Gokhle Road, Kolkatta, vide No ST 237795. Against this number, the degree had actually been issued in favour of some other candidate. Further investigation in the case was in progress.
