JAMMU, April 14: “Farooq Abdullah’s recent indecent statement in reaction to the skewed sex ratio in J&K state speaks of his cheapness as a political leader. He has disgraced the whole of the women community and he should come out with public apology,” said Socialistic Democratic Party President Dr Darakhshan Andrabi while reacting to Farooq Abdullah’s latest faux pass.
She said that the union minister had suggested that if we don’t find women for sex then we will become gays while referring to the decrease in the female ratio as compared to the males. Dr Andrabi said that this is the outcome of a perverts’ mind and he has insulted us all. She said that this was no way to express concern over the skewed sex ratio.
“Women are not only the instruments of sex as men are not. They have their dignity and no Farooq or anybody will be allowed to speak so indecently about the women who are the real strength of the society,” said SDP president.
She appealed to all women activists, social organizations and the intellectuals to come out boldly to criticize immoral minds who don’t even shy away from belittling women in public.
