| BJP Study Group visits family of slain Kashmir cleric | | |

JAMMU, April 14: On the 2nd day of visit of the valley, BJP high level Study Group members visited the residence of Moulvi Showkat Ahmed, President Jameet-Al-Hadeed, who was killed in mine blast last Friday.
Led by Member of Parliament Rajnath Singh, the study group members including National Chief Spokesperson and MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, National Spokesperson & MP Syed Shah Nawaz Hussain, Chief Whip in Rajya Sabha and MP Maya Singh and Member of Parliament Dr. J. K. Jain, alongwith National General Secretary JP Nadda and State President Shamsher Singh Manhas.
They expressed their heart felt condolences and expressed sympathy with the bereaved family. His new working president Malik made a servant request that killers of Moulvi Showkat be identified and punished. Pertinent to mentioned here that Moulvi Showkat was rendering his services in the field of education, health and welfare of common masses in the valley.
The Study Group paid obeisance at Hazrat Bal Dargah and prayed for the peace and prosperity of the state. At Chatthi Padshai, Saroba was offered by the members by Sikh community, who also briefed about the apathy of state government toward them during last 20 years and demanded financial upliftment of their community.
The Study Group also interacted with a number of deputations including Pahari Cultural Forum, Kashmir Railway employees Union Citizens Welfare Group, All India Muslim Democratic Federation besides the number of Pahari gujjars.
