WCCL appeals masses to join cooperative movement | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, Apr 14: Women’s Credit Cooperative limited (WCCL) today appealed general masses to become its members and strengthen cooperative movement in the state. Addressing a press conference here today, Chairperson of WCCL for Jammu province Kailash Kumari appealed the general public to become members of Women’s Credit Cooperative limited to make it functional as bank. She said that cooperative movement for establishing WCCL was launched in the year 2004 with the active backing of Jammu and Kashmir government. She said that the Reserve Bank of India has fixed the target of three thousands memberships. She said that the Women’s Credit Cooperative ltd has fixed Rs. 1000 as share per partner which is fully refundable or convertible and Rs. 1000 as registration fees for the membership in Jammu province while adding that district Samba and Kathua are untouched and the process to carryout activities of the movement is on and more branches would be opened facilitate the women. She said that out of sixteen branches, nine have been audited by the RBI and their files are still lying with the RBI for full operation under the control of RBI. On the occasion, Bimla Rajput was unanimously elected as member on the board of directors. Others present on the occasion included Ranjan Gupta, Veena Gupta and Baljit Kour.
