| Notification for 8th Phase of Panchayat Elections issued | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, April 14- Chief Electorate Officer, Mr. B. R. Sharma has issued notification for 8th Phase of Panchayat Elections in the State.
As per notification, the election are being held in 8th phase in block Trehgam of district Kupwara, block Rafiabad of district Baramulla, block B.K.Pora of district Budgam, block Shahabad of district Anantnag, block Barnoti of district Kathua, block Akhnoor of district Jammu and block Sunderbani of district Rajouri.
The date of issue of notification for above mentioned blocks is April 15, 2011, last date for making nominations is April 23, 2011, the date of scrutiny of nominations is April 25, 2011, last date for withdrawal of candidature is April 27, 2011 and date of poll/counting wherever necessary is May 12, 2011.
The Election Authority has fixed the hours from 8.00 a.m to 2.00 p.m as the hours during which the poll shall, if necessary, be taken on May 12, 2011. The Counting of votes will take place at 3.00 p.m. on the same day at a place to be notified by the concerned District Panchayat Election officer (Deputy Commissioner).
