Lecturers support special incentives announced by the Govt. for fraternity | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 14: All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum has strongly supported the decision of Government for “special incentives” to the Teacher Fraternity working in rural and far-flung areas of the State. The Central Executive of the Forum which met at Jammu under the Chairmanship of State President H.D Qureshi has highly appreciated the announcement of Minster for Education in this context on the occasion of Lecturers Day. On the occasion, H. D Qureshi expressed that finally the Government has conceded the long pending demand of the Forum for “special Incentives” to the Teachers working at distant places at par with National Health Mission Programme in the State of Jammu and Kashmir. Qureshi expressed his surprise that instead of compensating the employees working in remote area the Government snatches a major part of their salaries on the posting outside towns in rural and far-flung areas. Qureshi further said that the decision of Government to give Incentives to the teachers on their posting in the remote area will certainly boost the morale of teachers who are otherwise reluctant to serve outside cities or towns. District President Jammu, B.D Sharma expressed his gratitude to the Minster for Education Jenab Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed for making announcement for Regularization of all the incharge incumbants and upgradtaion of Higher Secondary School as “Intermediate Colleges” in the State. Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included Charan Dass and Manmeet Bali, N.S Jamwal, Ashwani Sharma, B.D Sharma ,Kiranjeet Kour and O.P Katoch beside others.
