‘Cross voting by BJP MLA’s have brought a blot on party credibility’ | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, April 15: Jammu Business Coordination Committee of Jammu CFA & Distributors Association has expressed shock over seven BJP MLAs cross voting in favour of ruling National Conference and Congress Coalition candidates in the elections for members of legislative Council. In a statement issued here today Kulbhushan Mohetra Chairman Jammu Business Coordination Committee of Jammu CFA & Distributors association has said that these MLAs were elected to the assembly cashing on the sacrifices made by all the people of Jammu, including the business community, who suffered financially heavily in over two month long strike and shut down in entire Jammu region. The members added that these black sheep of Jammu should be socially boycotted. Mohetra added that these MLAs have brought a blot on their party, which is fighting at the national level against corruption in public life and administration, since they are reported to have cross voted against huge sums of money paid to them by the ruling coalition partners. He has further asked the BJP high command to not only accept the resignations of these MLAs from the state assembly, which should be forwarded to the speaker for acceptance.
