KHC concerned over marginalising of KPs in Panchayat polls | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 15: Kashmir Hindu Conference (KHC) has expressed serious concern for sidelining the Kashmiri Pandits in the ongoing Panchayati elections. In a meeting of the KHC held under the chairmanship of M L Thusso, the leaders expressed wonder over the neglect and exclusion of the community in the said panchayati elections. The special arrangements for state legislative assemblies and parliament elections are made for the migrants but the exclusion in the said panchayati elections is viewed as a conspiracy against the community. This is bound to jeopardize their democratic rights and participation in the democratic process. The leaders were of the view that this discrimination merits to be challenged in the court of law. So that the justice is restored to the deprived section of society and the said elections are declared void. The conference will take up the issue with other organizational leaders before taking any further action in the matter.
