| Training of polling staff held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, APRIL 16- A training programme for presiding and polling officers of block Ramnagar for the panchayat elections 2011 was held today at Higher Secondary School, Ramnagar. In the training, 172 presiding officers and 344 polling officers were imparted training and guidance for the conduct of the ensuing panchayat election to be held on April 21, 2011 for Ramnagar block.
Block Development Officer, Ramnagar gave live demonstration to operate ballot boxes and other polling related material to be used in the panchayat election. BDO also asked the polling staff to collect their duty order on 18th and 20th of this month where as the election material would be given to them on 20th of April from the office of the Block Development Officer, Ramnagar.
Meanwhile, an introduction - cum- demonstration meet of polling staff who were engaged in Block Dudu- Basantgarh for Panchayat Election 2011 held here in Town Hall Udhampur. BDO, Dudu-Basantgarh imparted the necessary training to the polling staff for the fair and smooth conduct of the election which is scheduled to be held on April 21, 2011. The BDO asked the polling staff deployed in block Dudu-Basantgarh to collect their appointment orders on April 17, 2011 from Gujjar and Bakerwal Hostel at 12pm.
