BJP protests cross voting by party MLAs | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT BHADERWAH, April 16 Bharatiya Janta Party’s Bhaderwah unit today holds strong protest demonstration here against the seven party MLAs, who cross voted in Legislative Council polls thereby ensuring the victory of coalition candidates. The protesters, who assembled at Seri Bazaar, also burnt the effigy of all 11 BJP MLAs. The demonstrators while addressing the gathering said that these MLAs were elected to the assembly cashing on the sacrifices made by all the people of Jammu, including the business community, and common masses who suffered heavy financial losses in over two month long shut down in the Amarnath land agitation. They said theses black sheep MLA had won the LA elections through Amarnath land row and now they ditched the emotional sentiments of the people of the Jammu region The members added that these black sheep of Jammu should be socially boycotted and expelled from the primary membership of the party because they are traitors. BJP leaders added that these MLAs have brought a blot on their party, which is fighting at the national level against corruption in public life and administration, since they are reported to have cross voted against huge sums of money paid to them by the ruling coalition partners. They further asked the BJP high command to not only accept the resignations of these MLAs from the state assembly, which should be forwarded to the speaker for acceptance but terminate all these deadwoods as soon as possible without any further delay. The leaders who participated in the protest demonstration include Satish Chander Kotwal, Raj Singh Charak, Koshal Dogra, Dhanter Singh Kotwal, Desh Raj and Narayan Dutt Gupta.
