| Lila Karan demands CBI probe in LC election cross voting | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, April 16:
Expressing strong resentment over cross voting by 7 BJP MLAs in Legislative Council election, the former Convenor of Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti Lila Karan Sharma demanded a CBI probe of the matter.
Sharma criticised the 7 BJP MLAs for failing the nationalism before anti-nationals. He said it is a serious matter and part of shame lies on Omar Abdullah led NC-Congress coalition government for indulging in horse trading and arranging crores of rupees for cross voting.
He alleged that some of his confidential sources informed him that all the deal was made in Government Guest House Gandhi Nagar on April 10 and 11 and the money exchanged in cross voting was managed by senior Ministers of NC- Congress coalition.
He said crores of rupees were transferred from secret fund kept to counter terrorism in the state.
Sharma demanded the dismissal of NC- Congress government for this act.
