| CPI (M) hold meeting, discuss problems | | |

JAMMU, Apr 17: Daylong meeting of Jammu Regional Committee of CPI (M) was held today under the chairmanship of regional secretary Sham Prasad Kesar at Gandhinagar Jammu.
Regional committee threadbare discussed the problems of state government employees particularly the problems of RET teachers, daily rated workers, ASHA workers, Anganwari employees, and mid-day meal workers. Kesar, while addressing the meeting appealed to the state government to regularize the services of daily wagers who have completed their stipulated period, all benefits from date of joining to RET teachers and minimum wages to the ASHA workers, mid-day meal workers and Anganwari employees as per labour laws till they are regularized as permanent employees.
Kesar further demanded that arrears of 6th pay commission be paid to all the state employees and pensioners in two installments on the central Govt. pattern to avoid confrontation.
