| Seeded Ishan, Abhishek among 12 in next round | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, April 17: Seeded cueists, Ishan Choudhary and Abhishek Goswami among 12 boys today entered into the next round of snooker event in the ongoing Jammu District Open Billiards and Snooker Championship at Billiards, MA Stadium, here.
While third seed, Ishan defeated Parteek Khullar in straight frames 78-46, 76-08, fifth seed, Abhishek Goswami trounced Diwakar in easy frames of 67-20, 36-16.
For the first time, the billiards and snooker witnessed young contestants. Youngest participant of the junior snooker event, Samarth Amla remained a point of attraction for other competitors though he lost in the first round to Sourabh. Eleven-year old, Samarth learned the basics of the game at Amar Singh Club.
