| Reorganize study centers : PDSF | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, April 18: People Democratic Student Front (PDSF) demanded for reorganization of various study centres across the state through UGC, here today.
Addressing the protestors PDSF state in charge Riaz Atish said that government has no sound bases to derecognize distance education students learning from different study centres of different UGC recognized and DEC recognized universities, so these students be recognized.
“When government accept certificate of IGNOU and DOEACC which are recognized by UGC & DEC how they refuse certificate of other universities which are also recognized by UGC & DEC” he added.
Atish demanded for a joint committee, which should be constituted by the government constituted of 50% representatives from government and 50% representatives from the distance education students to look into the matter, besides this the government has to fill the vacancies in the school and office where computerization has done.
“Jammu University and Kashmir University should be directed to provide admission for PG courses in there universities” added Atish.
Among those who were present on the occasion Daljeet Singh, Parvinder Singh, Murtaza Khawaja, Pallav Phoghtra, Alka Jasrota, Anu Bhat , Khalid Mustaiq, Gohar Ali, Arjun Manhas, Meenakshi and Sandeep Singh beside others.
