| CEO issues notification for 9th Phase of Panchayat elections | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, April 18:
Chief Electorate Officer, BR Sharma has issued notification for the 8th Phase of Panchayat Elections in the State.
As per notification, the election are being held in 9th phase in block Tangdhar of district Kupwara, block Singhpora of district Baramulla, block Sumbal of district Bandipora, block Srinagar of district Srinagar, block Khoveripora of district Anantnag, block Kishtwar of district Kishtwar block Ramban of district Ramban, block Kathua of districts Kathua and block Marh of district Jammu.
The date of issue of notification for above mentioned blocks is April 19 last date for making nominations is April 26, the date of scrutiny of nominations is April 27, last date for withdrawal of candidature is April 29 and date of poll/counting wherever necessary is May 16.
The Election Authority has fixed the hours from 8.00 a.m to 2.00 p.m as the hours during which the poll shall, if necessary, be taken on May 16. The Counting of votes will take place at 3.00 p.m. on the same day at a place to be notified by the concerned District Panchayat Election officer (Deputy Commissioner).
