| F&ES Deptt organizes drawing competition | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, April 18:
As a part of Fire Safety Week being celebrated by the Jammu and Kashmir, Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) Command Udhampur, a drawing competition of different schools of Udhampur was organized at Government Central Middle School Udhampur.
The competition was held under the guidance of Director General, G A Bhat and Director Fire and Emergency Services, R B Sodi here today.
The students of the various schools including National Academy High School, Udhampur, Vivek Nikaten High School, Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Academy, K.C Gurukul, Government Central Middle School, Government Girls High School (City) and DAV School participated in the competition.
The Assistant Director Fire and Emergency Services Command Udhampur, Reasi, R C Raina was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Raina delivered a lecture on fire awareness, fire prevention and urged the student community to imbibe a spirit of fire cautiousness.
Rahil Meer a student of Vivek Niketan High School stood first in the competition while Sarthak of K.C Gurukul Jakhar Udhampur and Tarun Sachdev of National Academy High School were adjudged second and third in the drawing competition respectively.
The Headmaster of the host school, Pawan Kumar also spoke on the occasion and lauded the role of Fire and Emergency Services in organizing such programmes especially in schools for awareness of the general public.
