| JPPF chalks out protest programme against delay | | VC of Central University | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 18: Jammu Province Peoples Forum (JPPF) has chalked out detailed protest programme against the delay in the appointment of Vice-Chancellor of Central University Jammu.
In a handout issued here today, JPPF an amalgam of more than 50 social, commercial and other organizations held a meeting of its members to discuss the burning issue of Central University under the Chairmanship of Thakur Pavitar Singh. Majority of the members were of the opinion that central government is unnecessarily delaying the opening of central university in Jammu which is ultimately increasing frustration among the residents of Jammu Province.
The meeting held out that the students of Jammu Province are suffering due to the delay in making the central university functional. Members further added that the forum is in the process of chalking out the modalities for protest and very shortly the protest will be launched. Forum has invited people of Jammu province to remain united and come forward to participate in the protest. Members who spoke included Thakur Narayan Singh President Rajput Sabha, Kailash Langer, Uday Chand, T.R Pandoh, O.P Kotwal, Avinash Bhatia, M.S Katoch Madhu Sharma, R.L Tandon, Kamal, Partap Singh, Nittin Bakshi, A.G Kohli and Gajan Singh Khajuria. |
