| Lt. Gen. Kapoor visits Drona Hostel | | |

Lt. Gen. Deepak Kapoor, GOC Northern Command along with Mrs. Kirti Kapoor, President AWWA Northern Command visited AWWA Drona boys Hostel on occasion of children’s day.
The hostel has been established at Udhampur by Army’s Northern Command to provide quality education, boarding and messing facilities to children of war windows and ex-servicemen. The hostel also provides facilities, free of cost, to local children’s hailing from militancy affected areas and belonging to poor families, with an aim to make good and responsible citizens of the country. On the occasion children of the hostel presented a brief cultural programme and displayed their skills. The GOC-in-C Northern Command interacted with the children on the occasion and also complimented them for their performance. Mrs. Kapoor gifted children with gift hamper consisting of blazer, trousers, shoes and socks. The event was witness by a large number of senior Army Officers and their families. The GOC-in-C complimented Brig. K.K Chopra, Commander 71 Sub Area and Col Mukul Singhal, Secretary of Drona Boys Hostel, for the actions initiated for improving the facilities to the children and hoped that the children would be able to attain glorious heights in future.

Dr. Sehgal honoured with IMSA fellowship

Director Hospital Administration & Medical Research ASCOMS, Hospital Prof. S.C Sehgal returned here after attending the International meeting and conference of International Medical Sciences Academy held at Lahore Medical Dental College, Lahore. Prof. delivered a lecture on emerging public health significance of Leptospirosis in developing countries, beside the chairman a session during the scientific session. He was honoured with the Fellowship of International Medical Science Academy for his outstanding contributions in medical sciences.
He also participated in the formal Global Meeting on Disease Burden of Laptospirosis at WHO HQs., Geneva, Switzerland and represented India and South Asia. He gave a presentation on present scenario on Laptospirosis in the country.
