Roving Sikhs to weed out corruption through rock music | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Apr 19: Roving Sikhs, India’s first Sikh rock band, has devised a unique way to give impetus to ongoing crusade against corruption initiated by Gandhian Anna Hazare and decided to weed corruption via the medium of rock music. In this series, the group of Roving Sikhs includes doctors, engineers, businessmen, professionals and students is organising an event “Resurgence” at City Square Mall on April 22. This band was formed in 2009 by Gurinder Pal Singh Sudan, Gagan Deep Singh, Rajdeep Singh and Gurpreet Singh. Other members include Deepjot Singh, Vidyut Gupta, Shivam Soni and Arashdeep Singh. “We are hoping to ignite the fire which will spread through out the nation and change this corrupted system together,” they said. This group has already performed seven places including Singh International (Modeling), Tatva (SMVDU), The Business School Jammu University, Institute Of Management Sciences (BBA Fest), Zorawar Singh Auditorium (Law School), Acharya Shri College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS) and War of Bands (Zorawar Singh Auditorium).
