Kameshar Club wins by 24 runs in U-16 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 19: Kameshwar Cricket Club defeated Chenab Cricket Club by 24 runs to move into the next of the cricket tournament that started at Government Higher Secondary School ground, Akhnoor. Batting first, after winning the toss, Kameshwar Club bowled out for 104 runs in allotted 20 overs. Shubam was top scorer with 19-ball 21 while Sahil Pawar and Sahil Jamwal contributed 17 and 13 runs respectively. From Chenab Club, Sahil Jamwal and Shubam claimed three wickets each. Later, chasing the target, Chenab Club bowled out for 80 runs thereby lost the match by 24 runs. Chetan and Vishal were main contributors with 20 and 16 runs in their respective accounts. From Kameshwar Club, Sushil, Rahul and Sahil Gupta shared two wickets each. Earlier, the competition, organised by Akhnoor Cricket Committee in cooperation with Singh Cricket Club, was declared open by chairman of the Committee, Sham Singh Langeh. In all, 12 teams are taking part in this knock-out event exclusively meant for the under-16 category.
