| Sham urges for speedy clearance of health projects | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, APRIL 19- In order to ensure expeditious clearance of projects of Health Department, Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Sham Lal Sharma today called on the Minister for Finance, A.R.Rather in his office chamber and highlighted the need to settle projects of the departments under his charge.
Principal Secretary, Health & Medical Education, Suresh Kumar, Commissioner/Secretary Finance, Sudhanshu Panday, Director, National Rural Health Mission Dr. Yashpal Sharma and other officers of Finance and Health departments were also present.
The issues which figured during the course of discussion included effective implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes, timely release of funds and enhancement of incentives for the staff posted in far-flung areas under NRHM and allied issues to further improve the healthcare facilities in the State.
Finance Minister assured the Health Minister that all proposals related to the improvement of healthcare will be disposed off by the Finance Department on priority. He said that health and education are the priority sectors, saying there is no scope for delay for the projects concerning these departments.
