| Div Com reviews progress of various development projects under NBCC/ERA | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 19: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr. Pawan Kotwal convened an officers meeting to review the latest progress of various ongoing development works being executed by NBCC & ERA in Jammu City besides Rehabilitation plan of Vikram Chowk and B.C Road here today.
Threadbare discussion was held in the meeting regarding completion of various ongoing development projects in Jammu city which mainly include Construction of flyover from Vikram Chowk to Satwari and widening of B.C. road. Divisional Commissioner asked the executing agencies involved in these projects to expedite the pace of work. It was stressed that the land which is acquired for these projects, the rehabilitation process should be taken on priority basis and the displaced persons should be suitably rehabilitated.
Referring to Rehabilitation plan of Vikram Chowk and B. C. Road, Div Com asked the concerned department to identify the land required near the city to rehabilitate the people who will displaced due to widening of these road projects. He directed the officers for ensuring no delay in rehabilitation process work so that the ambitious projects of widening of various roads in Jammu city would be completed within stipulated time frame.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Jammu Sanjeev Verma, VC, JDA Vinod Sharma, Commissioner JMC S. C. Sawhney, Joint Director Information Jammu Soujanya Sharma, CE, M &RE Wing Jammu Mohammad Qasim, SE PHE V. K. Luthra, SE PWD P. L. Bhushan, SE UEED Prem Nath, SP Traffic Z. N. Manhas, XEN PHE S. C. Nanda, officers from NBCC and ERA and other senior officers from various departments.
