| Sahu exhorts officers to adhere to Model Code of Conduct | | Election control room setup at Poonch | | Early Times Report
POONCH, Apr 19: District Panchayat Election Officer (DDC) Poonch Ajeet Kumar Sahu convened a joint meeting of election related officers and prominent citizens at Poonch today.
Threadbare deliberations were held to ensure free, fair and smooth conduct of forthcoming Panchayat Elections in the district. Sahu informed the meeting that an election control room has been set up in the office DEPO at Poonch. The said control room has been equipped with telephone Nos. 01965-220347 and 222723 for election related information and complaints be dealt in the said control room.
Addressing the participants, DPEO explained regulations of Model Code of Conduct in detail to be observed strictly. He further said locals are being informed collectively that no government property be used for election propaganda, rallies or posters.
DEPO further informed that in order to conduct free and fair elections authorities has appointed three Election Observers for the district they include ADDC, S.E Hydraulic Poonch where as Treasury Officer, Mendhar as Expenditure Observer. All participants expressed their full cooperation with District and Tehsil Administration for free, fair and smooth conduct of elections.
